A Message from Your Field Agent

January 23rd, 2010 · No Comments

The New Year is always a great time for reflection. Many of us keep procrastinating year after year on things that need to be done. Well, guess what? You’re a year older now and it’s still not done.

We tend to make resolutions we never intend on keeping. They are too demanding and time consuming. Might I make a simple suggestion that is vital to you and your loved ones but you keep putting off. Get your financial affairs in order. Call me and together we can do a full review of your financial and insurance portfolio and get you up-to-date. A few minutes of your time and you can enjoy the rest of the year with peace of mind. “YOU don’t plan to fail in life, YOU fail to plan”.

So instead of breaking another resolution, get the year started off right before you wake up and it’s already 2011! Best of luck this year and God Bless!

Fraternally yours,

Paul Lalonde B. Comm, FIC, CSA

Christmas Party

December 23rd, 2009 · No Comments

On December 13th, we had our second IHM Family Christmas party. Everybody had a good time and there was an excellent turnout. Although quite a few people left early due to other commitments and a false fire alarm (BUT everyone was excited to see the firemen and fire trucks!) I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

The children had a lot of activities to amuse themselves with: arts and crafts; video games room; and of course Santa. Things packed up an hour earlier than expected, mainly due to the fire alarm. We were able to achieve our goal of sponsoring a needy family, and we made around $400 for future events.

Special thanks to our volunteers, without whom none of this could have been possible: Rick Lezon, Gene, Matthew and Laura Therriault, the van Troost family, Guy and Tina Brucculeri, the Larmond family, Simpson Family, Larry Paletta, Varas family, Gary Maas, Stephen Di Pietro, Marcel Lemmen, Ron Ogulin, Joe Kubilis, Victoria Ivankovic, and a few others that came at the last minute to help out.

Our council has been awarded the Star Council which was given to us by our Worthy District Deputy. It is a great honor to get this award in our first full year. This is just another mark to illustrate all the hard work the Knights have done to help the church, cummunity, council, youth and families.
