On June 7, 2008, Bro. Marty Ryan (left) received a Knights of Columbus gold watch and ring from Bro. John Stewart (right), District Deputy of District #8, for being the top membership proposer in all of Ontario for the past Fraternal Year. Bro. Marty is the Financial Secretary and Membership Director of our Council.

Congratulations and many thanks to Bro. Marty for his excellent work from all of his Brother Knights at Immaculate Heart of Mary Council #14421.

Flowers for our Mothers on May 11

Many thanks to Bro. Ken Simpson for arranging for flowers and a display to honour the mothers in our parish on Mother’s Day 2008. We accepted donations for Hamilton Right to Life and raised $290.

Charter Celebration Dinner on May 4, 2008

Council members, family, and friends gathered on Sunday, May 4, 2008 for Mass at 11:00am followed by a Dinner celebrating the granting of a charter to our council by the Supreme Council in New Haven, CT.

Entertainment before dinner provided by The HarmoKnights.

Grand Knight, Marcel Lemmen, Director of New Council Development, James Smith, and District Deputy, John Stewart with the Charter Document.

Deputy Grand Knight, John Larmond, Grand Knight, Marcel Lemmen, Chancellor, Ken Simpson, and Chaplain, Fr. Edward Mahony cut the cake.

Guy Brucculeri presents a cheque for $1,227.31, representing the proceeds of our Fertilizer Sale, to Fr. Edward Mahony for the benefit of the Church Building Fund.

Charter Celebration Dinner - May 4/08

A dinner celebrating the granting of a Charter to Council #14421 will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at 12:00 noon at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. The dinner will be preceded by Holy Mass at 11:00am.

We have planned a sumptuous meal and entertainment by the HarmoKnights. The highlight of the dinner will be the unveiling of the new Charter and Council Banner.
All members, family, and friends are invited to attend.

Tickets are $3o per person ($15 for children under 12) and tables seat 8. Please contact the Grand Knight, Marcel Lemmen at (905) 546-6923 to order tickets.

Fertilizer Sale a Success!

Our council sold a total of 316 bags of fertilizer to 101 customers. Thanks to everyone who helped distribute flyers and take orders and especially to Joseph van Troost, John Ivezic, Rick Lezon and Guy Brucculeri for helping load and unload 7 tons of fertilizer.

Fertilizer Sale Fundraiser

This past weekend we kicked off the promotion and distribution of order forms for our very first Fertilizer Sale to benefit Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Please click here for more information.
