Knights of Columbus Council #14421

All You Can Eat Deluxe Breakfast and Bake Sale, Sunday May 3rd from 9:00 to 1:00 in the Church Hall. Adults $8, children under 12 $6. Brought to you by the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Women’s League, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish.

The next Officer’s meeting will be held on April, 21, 2009 at 7:30 in the Church Hall.

All Officer’s meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of every month excluding July and August.

On Sarturday March 28th the Knights went up to Hamilton Mountain bowl to take part in the 2009 Tim Hortons Bowl For Kids Sake. The Knights that attended were: John Larmond, Guy Brucculeri, Father Mahony, Anthony van Troost, John van Troost, Rick Lezon, and Joe Kubulis.

Our next general meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 7th, 2009. We will be holding the meeting in our church hall.

Larry, Ilaria, Giacomo and Massimo Paletta

Bro. Larry stepped up to the plate and took over as the Trustee for One Year when the position became vacant earlier this year. He also played a very convincing Santa Claus at our Family Christmas Party and helps out as an Usher at Masses. Ilaria is our Parish Secretary and has helped with scheduling and promoting many of our councils events.

Father Ed is our Pastor and Council Chaplain. His active participation and enthusiastic support of our council has contributed immensly to our successes so far. As part of his spiritual guidance as Chaplain of our council, Father Ed recently conducted our first Lenten Retreat.

Thirteen year old Jason Rhodes of Immaculate Heart Of Mary placed second for thirteen year old boys at the regional basketball free throw in Cambridge last Saturday. Congratulations to Jason and thank you to everyone who helped organize this years free throw challenge, especially brother Tony Giannini and the staff that helped out at Immaculate Heart Of Mary school and parish.

The district level Basketball Free Throw Championship was held on February 21 at Bishop Ryan High School. Two Students representing our Council won their age group and one was a runner up: 

• Jason Rhodes – Boys Age 13 Winner – from Immaculate Heart of Mary School
• Celine Pitre – Girls Age 12 Winner – from Winona Public School
• Taylor Major – Girls Age 10 Runner Up – from Immaculate Heart Of Mary
